We were longlisted for the new Story Museum in Oxford. The brief for the competition was to create a narrative series of spaces for this £3.5m refurbishment. Read the announcement here.

Our team was shortlisted for a new exhibition featuring over 80 ballgowns at the V&A – working together with Mar Mar co. in graphics. We envisiged a rotating platform a bit like a jewellery box and curtains with projections conjuring up a scene.

Our new playground for a primary school in West London has started on site. The circles form hopscotch, goals and roads for playtime.

We baked the gingerbread, that we photographed to form the walls of a Hansel and Gretel House for the V&A Museum of Childhood. We then ate it for tea.

Pippa has been teaching first year students at Cambridge University this year, and their show opened this week. The first years constructed a wall of found timber, holding models and drawings. More details here.

The site is cleared – and Wheeler House starts on site. This new-build house will be finished in April next year.

The costumes for our children’s exhibition are being made, first in a toile to check the shape and stitching. We are really pleased that the textures of the fabrics will look beautiful against our graphic walls.

We had a visit today from students from the Design Matters programme, run by the University of the Arts London, to introduce young people who are between 13 and 19 to design for the built environment. We gave an introduction of our work to a group of students and we hope that they were inspired. Later on in the week Pippa went to the day-long workshop and crit – which was an exciting end result of the week’s course.
